The Russian Hospice Care Professionals Association’s annual international conference, “Development of Palliative Care for Adults and Children,” is the largest educational event in Russia for specialists providing care to adults and children with severe progressive and life-limiting diseases. The 2020 conference will be held online under the auspices of World Day for Palliative and Hospice Care, which is celebrated on the second Saturday in October (October 10, 2020).

Dr. Elvira Parravicini presents a 1-hour lecture, followed by a 2-hour Q+A session:

  • providing an overview of the development, purpose, and work of the Neonatal Comfort Care Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center

  • highlighting the innovative research conducted by the Neonatal Comfort Care Program team

  • offering guidance in the best practices in providing the highest level of specialized perinatal palliative care for babies and support for their families

  • illustrating the positive impact of the Neonatal Comfort Care Program on patient care, family health, and institutional culture
